Puget Sound Flyers
501(c)(3) nonprofit organization
History of the organization
Puget Sound Flyers was originally founded as a Flight Club, offering recreational flyers the chance to have fun, keep flying and get the best value in flying in the Northwest in 2013.
Since then the club has grown and has helped many people earn their wings to fly and has grown to a fleet of 3 aircraft for flight club members to enjoy the Pacific Northwest from above.
In 2018 the organization has embarked on a new venture to create a scholarship program for children who survived cancer for post-secondary education and has received 501(c)(3) nonprofit charity status by the IRS.
In order to fund and stand up this program, the club is refurbishing a Cessna 150 aircraft with the intent of selling the aircraft in a raffle in early 2019 to creating the starting funds for the scholarship program, with the hope to start disbursing scholarships late 2019/early 2020.
